Pastor David B. Carter was born February 24, 1945 to the union of Mr. John B. Carter, Sr. and the late Sis. Mary Carter of LaPlace, LA. He was educated in the public schools of St. John the Baptist Parish. He attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

He was Baptized by the late Rev. Ernest Taylor, Sr. May 5, 1970. He received his Christian Education from Christian Bible College receiving a B.A. in Theology and a M.A. in Theology.

He is married to Sis. Carroll Crayton Carter and to this union four (4) children were born, Theron, Karen, Kesha, & Keeshawn. He has been blessed with seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He has served faithfully as a Secretary/Clerk, Sunday School Teacher, Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, Associate Minister and Assistant to the Pastor. After the death of the late Rev. Ernest Taylor, Sr., he became Pastor. He was installed as Pastor on the fourth Sunday in April, 1989. Under his Pastorate, since that time our church has grown spiritually, numerically and financially. He is a true servant of God and a shepherd to the flock. He loves the church. He is also a preacher, teacher, builder and administrator.
